About Run for Palestine

On Saturday the 5th of October Tasmanian Palestine Advocacy Network invites you to join with those who want justice for Palestine when we set off for a family-friendly 8.6km run (4.3km walk) to raise awareness about the injustices experienced daily by Palestinians. The ongoing occupation of Palestinian land by Israel has never been more visible, with the latest bombing and destruction of Gaza now in its 10th month, and in excess of 40,000 people murdered.

The Run for Palestine event route is along the beautiful Tamar River foreshore.

Participants in the run will be raising money for the Australian charity Olive Kids, an organisation working to improve the lives of children in the Occupied Palestinian Territories. The event will also feature music and food for runners and supporters.

Tickets will include the run or walk, a t- shirt and light food.
