About Melbourne Cup Luncheon

Murray Hut CWA (Finley/Tocumwal) group is reviving our highly popular Melbourne Cup Day Luncheon, an event that used to be a staple in our district’s social calendar, bring together guests from far and wide. Unfortunately, due to Covid and the busy schedules of our members, the event was put on hold until the right time to bring it back. Now we are excited to announce that the day will be held on Melbourne Cup Day, Tuesday, November, 7th, 2023 and we are determined to make it even bigger and better than before, with over 100 guests.

Here's what we have planned so far:

- A delectable high tea, skillfully prepared by the talented Hospitality team at Finley High School.

- Guests will be encouraged to dress in their finest attire. We will be hosting the Lady of the Day, Couple of the Day and Best Shoes parades, with generous prizes awarded to the winners.

- Throughout the day, there will be various competitions, raffles and prize giveaways.

- A silent auction will be running throughout the day with goods and services from esteemed suppliers in the area as well as beyond.

Upon purchasing your ticket, you will be assigned to a randomly selected table with available spots. If you desire to sit with your friends, it is necessary to make a table reservation.
