Townsville Pop Fest has been launched in 2023 as the new convention from Hone Events. The Hone Family have run 3 pop culture conventions in the past, along with running smaller Trivia Nights and providing characters for promotional events for local council and shopping centres.

Townsville Pop Fest will be the new home for pop culture in Townsville, working alongside other regional conventions, they wish to bring some of the big town convention activities to regional Queensland.

It will be a place for fans of all things pop culture, comics, sci-fi, fantasy, anime, gaming, nostalgia and literature along with those that love to dress up in their favourite characters costumes (Cosplay) to come together to celebrate the nerd and geek in all of use. 

Hone Events wants to give local artists, creators and aspiring talents a platform to showcase their work and build a fandom along with showing some of the new innovations in technology, arts and creativity.

Hone Events will also bring some of your favourite stars to Townsville from Comic book artists, Cosplayers and Authors for you to meet and talk to face to face hoping to build on their initial convention in 2023 to grow bigger and better year after year.

On the day we will have cosplay competitions and a cosplay showcase for the younger visitors, along with displays, vendors selling everything pop culture along with Q & A panels from Comic book artists, armour makers and much more. 

Dress to impress in your favourite costume and come along with the family for a fantastic day of nerdiness and let your inner geek go crazy. There is no age limit to the fun!!
