Endless Pleasure - a sundowner concert in the beautiful acoustic and delightful ambience of the Grand Hall of the Mosman Art Gallery, that you really won't want to miss!Our TWELVE stunning singers accompanied by amazing pianist, Donna Balson, will make you smile, laugh and cry as they take you on a journey through the wonderful sound and landscapes of England.
You will enjoy well loved jewels, plus discover some hidden or forgotten gems of the English vocal repertoire. Composers include Henry Purcell, George Frederic Handel, Sir Edward Elgar, Rutland Boughton ( composer of The Immortal Hour), Benjamin Britten, Dame Elizabeth Maconchy and the renowned contemporary composer, Rebecca Clarke. Sparkling classics from Noël Coward and Gilbert & Sullivan classics are sure to lift the spirits! We are also delighted to include a Song Cycle set to poems by the great A.A. Milne entitled ‘ Now we are Six’ which will be performed by the composer, bass-baritone, Tristan Entwistle.
Signifying the great support for the Ukrainian people by the people of Australia and Great Britain, there will be a special performance of a well-loved Ukrainian song by our Ukrainian - Australian soprano, Alya Meyer. You will have the opportunity to make contributions to assist the Ukrainian front line.
