About Gaol Glitter Ball
Adelaide’s biggest disco event – “Gaol Glitterball 2024” is on at the Adelaide Gaol on Saturday February 3rd from 6pm to 11pm. Beverages from the Lady Burra and a popular local food trucks will be onsite to keep guests replenished throughout the night. Enjoy five hours of the best disco music around with remixes galore from the acts.
Award-winning DJ Dr Packer will be the star attraction at the event. The Salsoul, Defected, Glitterbox favourite ended 2019 as No. 2 artist on the Traxsource nu Disco/Indie Dance and previously taking out the No. 1 artist in 2018 and 2017, in 2019 he’s hardly stopped playing competing his 5th European tour including dates in Ibiza, Ministry of Sound London, he saw in the New Year 2020 in Melbourne sharing the headline with Todd Terry and DJ Spen. New Years Eve 2023 saw Dr Packer play to a packed crowd in Brisbane.
Dr Packers remixes have resulted in official releases by legendary artists such as Chaka Khan, Bootsy Collins, Loleatta Holloway and even Carl Cox. Dr Packers remix of Donna Allen – Joy & Pain took out the Best Remix of 2023 medal at the Only Good Vibes Music Dance awards. Dr Packer has built a huge following: 16k on Instagram, 115k on Spotify, 32k on Facebook, and 43k on Soundcloud.
In February 2024 Dr Packer plays his first gig in Adelaide at the historic Adelaide Gaol, attending the “Gaol Glitterball 2024” event. Dr Packer will be supported by the hugely popular local DJ act “Funk Fusion”. Expect to hear tracks such as “Monday Blues”, “Phantasy” “I Found Lovin’” and “A Thousand Kisses”.
