Rachel Scott on Cello and Ben Sibson on Percussion
A chance to hear some memorable music in a program full of moments to make your heart skip a beat and your soul soar.
Rachel studied classical cello with David Pereira in Canberra and Robert Cohen in London and has played as a soloist and chamber musician in several countries. As the artistic director of “Bach in the Dark” she has worked with a variety of musicians, singers, poets, actors and visual artists. Rachel is also the education manager for the Australian Children’s Music Foundation, which provides quality classroom music experience for underprivileged children in Australia and East Timor.
Ben originally trained as a pianist and switched to percussion at age 21, working as a freelance composer and percussionist in many music genres. He has spent many years as a kit drummer, percussionist, keyboardist, conductor and music director, and has performed at venues and festivals throughout Australia and Asia.
The program includes a Bach Prelude and Bach Cello Suite as well as Dances from “Terpischore” by Praetorius and the Traditional “Uskadar”
