Be part of the very first STATE OF ORIGIN POKER RUN,

Poker Run is not a race. It's a charity event allowing the boating community to have, not only have a really unique day, but also to relax and raise some money for a really good cause along the way. All proceeds go to the Welch Family, Bec and Harper Welch.

The QLD Poker Run participants will enjoy a fully organised event starting from the Main Beach behind Sea World, around Russell Island, then back to South Stradbroke to Tipplers Hotel for lunch. Players will enjoy the rest of the afternoon and evening at Tipplers Hotel. Lunch will be provided by the Hotel and included in your ticket price. Drinks are available at a cash bar.

This site will allow for you to buy what you need to be part of the day.

A full schedule is below, but the short version is this:  Each paying crew will pick up playing cards along the way. By the time we get to the finish, each paying crew will have 5 cards, enough for a hand of Poker. The best hand wins. If you're not completely satisfied with the first 5 cards you get in your hand, then you'll have an option to buy more cards at the finish. You can keep buying cards until you think you have a winning hand.

The only rules are those set by Waterways, so you'll all need to be fully compliant to participate. We have no exemptions or exclusions, and each boat owner is responsible for their boat and crew.

Crews can choose to ski 1-up, 2-up. Or not ski at all. It's all about the journey. You can ski on any type of ski you wish.

RUN OF THE DAY:
8:00 - Arrive at the ramp
8:30 - Roll call and briefing
8:45 - 8:00 - Launch Boats
9:00 - 9:30 - Start
12:00 - 12:30 -  Arrive at Tipplers for lunch and relax
13:00 - 17:00 live band, and presentations.
17:00 - onward, camping is available, please contact Tipplers directly - 07 5577 2849 or accommodation is available at Couran Cove Island resort on 07 5597 9999

TICKETING NOTES
¹ Boat Crew departing from Main Beach - includes event registration ($75 is per adult on boat), 1 x poker hand per boat, food at half way, live entertainment and an branded Poker Run stubby holder at the finish line. Please note that it is a cash bar. Plus Booking Fee
² Finishing Line After Party Only (kids under 16yrs - FREE) - includes food and entertainment at. Please note that it is a cash bar. Plus Booking Fee.
³ TShirts and Hoodies are available in Black only. Please nominate sizing preference on following page. Garments will be available for pick up at the event (no delivery option available). Plus Booking Fee.
